With Adventures of the Forgotten Realms previews kicking off tomorrow, Gavin Verhey used today’s episode of Good Morning Magic to tease the upcoming Commander decks for the set.
Adventures in the Forgotten Realms will have four Commander decks and each deck will have two legends, a hero and a monster. The front-facing legends will be the heroes, who are all members of the same adventuring party. Learn a little bit about each of the decks below.
The red and green deck will be called Draconic Rage and is headlined by Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients. Vrondiss is the barbarian of the party and will be previewed by Loading Ready Run on July 2. Check out the art for Vrondiss by Svetlin Velinov.
The red and black Planar Portal deck features Prosper, Tome-Bound. Prosper is the warlock of the group. MTG Goldfish will preview this deck on July 2. Check out the art for Prosper by Yongjae Choi.
The white, blue, and black Dungeons of Death deck showcases Sefris of the Hidden Ways. Sefris is the wizard of the party and will be previewed by MTG Muddstah on July 2. Check out the art for Sefris by Ryan Pancoast.
Lastly, the blue, white, and green Aura of Courage deck is headline by Galea, Kindler of Hope. Galea is the paladin of the group. Galea will be previewed by The Command Zone on July 2. Check out the art for Galea by Johannes Voss.
