Firer, Allen, Jessup Win SCG Columbus

A group of familiar faces take down the first Team Open event of 2020!

The SCG Tour kicked off Season One of 2020 this past weekend with Team Modern in Columbus, Ohio.

After navigating one of the most stacked fields in recent years, it was the team of Harlan Firer (Bant Snowblade), Zach Allen (Sultai Titan), and Dan Jessup (Simic Urza) who hoisted the first SCG Tour trophies of the new year.

Coming into the Top 4 as the second seed, Firer, Allen, and Jessup first defeated the team of Daniel D’Amato (Gifts Storm), Caleb Scherer (Gifts Storm), and Becky Adlman (Simic Titan) 2-1, before meeting another group of SCG Tour veterans in the finals.

In a star-studded final match, Firer, Allen and Jessup defeated Edgar Magalhaes (Sultai Urza), Matthew Dilks (Amulet Titan), and Will Pulliam (Amulet Titan) 2-1 to become the Team Modern Champions at SCG Columbus.
