Lukas Dusek won Sunday’s SCG Tour Online Standard $5K Strixhaven Championship Qualifier #9 with Sultai Ramp (Yorion).

Dusek earned an invite to the Strixhaven Championship and $1,500 by winning the 200-person event without dropping a single match. Dusek was one of two players to make it through the Swiss undefeated then sliced through the elimination rounds without losing a single game. Once in the Top 8 after a bye in the wildcard round, Dusek defeated Maksim Kopylovich on Temur Adventures, Maxim Salmin on Mono-Green Aggro❄, and finally Julian Felix Flury on Four-Color Adventures (Jegantha).

Flury’s take on the Naya Adventures deck gives it some play against Emergent Ultimatum decks with four copies of Mystical Dispute in the sideboard. The elimination rounds featured five Adventure decks, two copies of Sultai Ramp (Yorion), two copies of Mono-Red Aggro❄, and single copies of Rakdos Sacrifice, Mono-Green Aggro❄, and Gruul Aggro. Masahide Moriyama’s build of Rakdos Sacrifice takes on a more token-based strategy with Forbidden Friendship and Bastion of Remembrance to combo with Plumb the Forbidden.
