As part of an ongoing series of weekly changes, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced the updates and changes coming with the final week of Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths to Magic Online.
Core Set 2021 Launch Super Event
The Core Set 2021 Launch Super Events are “similar to Super Qualifiers” and feature “double” prizes for the Top 8 qualifiers (though there are no invitations awarded for this event), including complete Core Set 2021 sets.”

- Saturday, June 27, at 7:00 AM PT
- Friday, July 3, at 7:00 AM PT
Format: Core Set 2021 Sealed
Product: 6 Core Set 2021 Booster Packs. Product opened in Limited events will be added to players’ collections.
Location: The Limited lobby under Premier Events
Entry Options:
- 40 Event Tickets
- 400 Play Points
- 40 Magic Online Qualifier Points
Size: 129–672 players
Duration: A number of rounds determined by entries, with Swiss pairings. Each round plays up to 50 minutes, followed by a single-elimination Top 8.

Beginning June 10 and running through July 1, players can enjoy the Legacy Cube on Magic Online. This unique Cube features “the best cards from across Magic‘s history, working together in ways you can only experience in a cube.”

Format Challenges are scheduled to run every weekend for the foreseeable future and are the “first step to qualifying for Premier Play.” The schedule for upcoming Format Challenges can be found below:
