Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Merchant, check out the newest Partner planeswalker from Commander Legends — Jeska, Thrice Reborn!
Jeska is one of the most unique planeswalkers we’ve seen in awhile. She has a base loyalty of 0, but enters the battlefield with loyalty equal to the number of times you’ve cast a commander from the command zone, meaning you’ll likely want to draw this card much later in the game.
Jeska loves big damage, and despite not gaining any loyalty from this ability, you likely won’t need it since you’ll (hopefully) be swinging for double-digit damage each turn.
If you’re not in a good position to be attacking with Jeska’s 0 ability, this one is a strong backup plan — allowing you to take down multiple threats, finish off low-health players, or both!
Previewed alongside Jeska was her accompanying modal “Will” card, part of a cycle that “allows you to do both modes if you control the proper commander.”
Jeska, Thrice Reborn seems sweet not only as a commander, but also a great inclusion for most red Commander decks in general. How will you use Jeska? Commander or Partner? Let us know in the comments below!
