Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has provided a series of important details about updates for MTG Arena.
Chromatic Cube Starts June 25
The newest Cube offering for MTG Arena starts Friday with the Chromatic Cube. The new Cube encourages playing with lots of colors and mana and will be available in Best-Of-One and Best-Of-Three queues. The Chromatic Cube will run from June 25 – July 8. Full details on the Cube will be revealed on Friday.
Adventures In The Forgotten Realms Preorders Begin Tomorrow
Two bundles will be ready to preorder starting tomorrow for Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. The Lolth Pack Bundle will include 50 Adventures in the Forgotten Realms packs, a Spider Queen sleeve, and a Lolth, Spider Queen card and style. The Ellywick Play Bundle comes with the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Mastery Pass, three Player Draft Tokens, one Sealed Token, Ebondeath Black Dragon Pet, Ellywick sleeve, and an Ellywick card and style. The bundles for new sets usually preorder for $49.99 and can often be combined, though no pricing information is available yet.
Ellywick will be previewed tomorrow by Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.
Jumpstart Remains For Two More Weeks
Jumpstart will run through July 8. Players mash two packs together and battle other players who have done the same. Rewards include rare or mythic rare ICRs after winning two games and players can play as many games as they want. Entry for each run costs 2,000 gold or 400 gems.
Ikoria Turbo Drafts Debut This Weekend
Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths will be available for the special Turbo Draft format on June 26-29. Players draft with bots then play the games with an emblem that reads “Spells you cast cost 5 less.” Sets look wildly different when drafted Turbo style, so get ready for some massive swings and remember the 5 less applies to playing mutate costs as well.
