ChannelFireball.com and BinderPOS announced their merger Monday, stating the companies are forming the CFB Group and will launch a collectible marketplace in Q2 of 2021.
Superstars of Sports inc, doing business as ChannelFireball.com, has been involved in the collectible industry since 1993. BinderPOS is a paid point of sales solution built for gaming businesses that entered the market in 2018.
The collectible marketplace will start with collectible games like Magic: the Gathering, Pokémon, and Flesh and Blood. The press release states that the ChannelFireball marketplace will be the first of its kind to be designed by a brick and mortar retailer and ecommerce company focused on bridging the gap between retailers, collectors, players, influencers, and publishers, while existing marketplaces are focused solely on profit maximization.
ChannelFireball will continue producing content, including exclusive articles and videos on CFB Pro. The site will continue to have a buylist and accept store credit.
