If a Giant source you control would deal damage to a permanent or player, it deals double that damage to that permanent or play instead.
We all know red players love to light up the battlefield, and Calamity Bearer ensures you can do just that! Currently in Standard, cards like Invasion of the Giants, Bonecrusher Giant, and Crystalline Giant curve well into Calamity Bearer, allowing you to attack for big damage early in the game.
In older formats, Calamity Bearer is the perfect addition to Giant tribal decks, as you gain access to synergies with cards like Lotleth Giant, Crush Underfoot, and Giant’s Ire, not to mention all your other Giants hitting for double the damage.
