Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Noah Walker, check out the return of two of Magic’s most iconic cards from Double Masters — Trinisphere and Academy Ruins!

First printed in Time Spiral, Academy Ruins has been the center piece of many artifact-based combo decks over the years, often seen paired with Mindslaver to lock opponents out of the game or Engineered Explosives to provide repeated removal.

Prior to its upcoming appearance in Double Masters, Academy Ruins has been reprinted only one other time (Modern Masters), and this will be the first time receiving a new frame and artwork, courtesy of the legendary John Avon.

Accompanying Academy Ruins in Double Masters is Trinisphere, a powerful artifact that was first printed in Darksteel and has seen play in numerous maindecks and sideboards over the years. With its printing in Double Masters, Trinisphere will have been printed a total of four times, with the most recent being in Masterpiece Series: Kaladesh Inventions.
