SCG CON Richmond is in the books. Check out the winners from all the events and decklists from the Modern $20K and $5K.

Modern $20K

Nathan Steuer, the reigning Magic: The Gathering world champion, won the Modern $20K with Temur Rhinos on Sunday.

Steuer made the Top 12 as the No. 3 seed with a record of 10-2-1 in the Swiss. After a bye in the first round of the Top 12, Steuer defeated Duncan McAdams on Hardened Scales and Pete Ingram on Five-Color Indomitable Creativity to reach the finals. Steuer faced Daryl Ayers in the finals, who was on the same 75 as Ingram. The match went the distance with Steuer taking Game 3 to claim the trophy and top prize of $3,000. The Top 4 all earned invites to the Regional Championship at DreamHack in Dallas.

Modern $5K

Julian Korfine won the Modern $5K with Izzet Midrange on Sunday.

Korfine squeaked into the Top 8 as the No. 8 seed with a record of 5-1-1 in the Swiss. The Top 8 included two copies of Temur Rhinos, two copies of Azorius Hammer, and single copies of Five-Color Indomitable Creativity, Jeskai Breach, Amulet Titan, and Izzet Midrange.

Battle Hardened

Pat Eshghy won the Classic Constructed Battle Hardened event on Saturday with Oldhim, Grandfather of Eternity.

Eshghy made the Top 8 of the 92-person event as the No. 2 seed. The elimination rounds featured seven different heroes, including the Outsiders‘ Uzuri, Switchblade and Azalea, Ace in the Hole, who picked up some new tools in the latest set.

Eshghy battle through the Top 8, taking down Devin Ratteni on Uzuri and Jodey Burney on Dromai, Ash Artist before to reach the finals. Eshghy defeated Trenton McBride in an Oldhim mirror in the finals to walk away with the cold gold foil promo card, while both finalists earned $500 and a PTI.

Professional Tournament Invitational

Dave Lin won the Outsiders Sealed Professional Tournament Invitational on Sunday.

Lin defeated Ross Fontana in the finals of a Top 8 that featured notable players like Michael Feng, Brodie Spurlock, and Ethan Van Sant.

SCG CON returns with more Magic: The Gathering and Flesh and Blood action next month in Baltimore. The event runs from June 16-18. More details will be available soon.
