The Professor’s Academic 133+ XL Deckbox has concluded its Kickstarter, finishing with 39,265 individual backers and a total of $3,998,744 in funding.
The original goal of $50,000 was met in just 17 minutes, but continued to soar over the last few weeks. Beyond the initial goal, The Professor implemented a series of stretch goals to accommodate the ever-rising number of backers, but even those were quickly eclipsed.

The deckbox is a collaboration between The Professor from Tolarian Community College and Gamegenic. Gamegenic is a studio of the Asmodee Group, a French publisher of board games, card games, and role-playing games. Gamegenic makes a line of Ingenious Supplies that includes deckboxes, sleeves, binders, playmats, and more.
