The potential face card for the Tyranid Swarm Warhammer 40,000 Commander Deck was leaked on Reddit yesterday.

The Swarmlord is the second of the four face cards known of the October 7 crossover product. Wizards of the Coast (WotC) revealed Abaddon the Despoiler from The Ruinous Powers deck back in May. The Swarmlord is a 5/5 Legendary Creature — Tyranid for 3GUR. The color combinations for the four decks were already previewed, the other two decks are Esper and Mono-Black.

Check out the text box for The Swarmlord.

Rapid Regeneration — The Swarmlord enters the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it for each time you’ve cast your commander from the command zone this game.

Xenos Cunning — Whenever a creature you control with a counter on it dies, draw a card.

The Temur legend gets bigger each time you cast it from the command zone and encourages you to build a deck with creatures and plenty of counters to put on them. Each time the after the first time The Swarmlord dies, you’ll draw a card, making sure you don’t run out of gas. The ability isn’t gated with a once per turn clause either, meaning you can draw as many cards as you can muster.

This leak shows the box for the Collector’s Edition Commander Deck, but the previews from May showed that the face card looks the same in the normal and Collector’s Edition. Get more information from the Warhammer 40,000 Commander Decks first look article from WotC.
