New MTG Foil Gush Promo To Release With Manga

First foil reprint of card from Mercadian Masques included with volume of Destroy All Humanity. They Cannot Be Regenerated

Gush illustrated by Sam White

The Japanese Magic: The Gathering account on X revealed a promo version of Gush that will be available soon with the purchase of a popular manga.

Players can order Volume 16 of the manga “Destroy All Humanity. They Cannot Be Regenerated.” to receive a copy of the promo, similar to when a foil copy of Culling the Weak was included with Volume 14.

While this common instant from Mercadian Masques has been reprinted a couple of times in non-foil, most notably the incredibly rare retro frame version with new art by Sam White offered as a prize at Eternal Weekend, this is the first foil reprinting since the original in Mercadian Masques. However, Gush is being reprinted in foil in the Future Sight frame in Mystery Booster 2, but that doesn’t release widely until MagicCon: Las Vegas on October 25-27. It is possible players cracked one of these from a pack at Gen Con, when Gavin Verhey announced the product and handed out packs to a very limited number of players. For now, we have only seen the non-foil Future Sight frame with new art by Franz Vohwinkel.

The comic, published by KADOKAWA, will release on September 25 and is 210 pages long. To order in the United States, make an account on Amazon Japan and order from the link. It’ll cost ¥799 or about $5.50 and preorders are limited to six per person.

Destroy All Humanity. They Cannot Be Regenerated is a manga written by Katsura Ise and illustrated by Takuma Yokota that follows two high school rivals that grow closer over games of Magic: The Gathering set in the late 1990s.
