Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has revealed the 2024 Magic: The Gathering Holiday promo card — Eggnogger’s Stache!
The tradition of Holiday promo cards began in 2006 with Fruitcake Elemental and has continued ever since. Oftentimes, these cards are fun spinoffs of real Magic cards, such as No Mercy and Snow Mercy, and Mishra’s Workshop and Mishra’s Toy Workshop.
While 2023’s promo, Seasonal Sequels, took a break from the norm, this year’s promo is a return-to-form, with Eggnogger’s Stache being a fun play on Bootlegger’s Stash from Streets of New Capenna.
Rather than tapping to make Treasure tokens, Eggnogger’s Stache gives your lands the ability to tap and refill your holiday mug (don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be with eggnog). Then, if you have a “drink ‘stache” at the start of combat on your turn, all your creatures get two +1/+1 counters.
The Eggnogger’s Stache promo featuring artwork by Arif Wijaya comes in traditional foil and will be given out to WPN stores, WotC staff, partners, and “friends of Wizards of the Coast…”.
