Hasbro announced plans to host a fireside chat with CEO Chris Cocks and Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Digital Gaming President Cynthia Williams focused on Magic: The Gathering.
The chat is scheduled for Wednesday, December 8 at 11 AM ET and will be hosted by UBS, a wealth management company. The webcast will be available at Hasbro’s Investor Relations home page following the chat here.
No other details on the subject are known other than it will be focused on Hasbro’s biggest brand, Magic — which became the company’s first $1 Billion brand in October, despite net revenues dropping. Hasbro was in the news last month when a Bank of America report downgraded the company’s rating to “underperform” from “buy,” and said that Hasbro is hurting the long-term value of MTG by overproducing cards. Hasbro shares dropped almost nine percent following that report.
