Earlier this month, two thieves managed to steal a pallet of trading cards worth approximately $300,000 from the show floor at Indianapolis’ Gen Con. Now, nearly a month later, the cards have been recovered.
According to IMPD’s social feed, the stolen cards were recovered in New York City this past Friday and are in the process of being returned to Indianapolis where they will be held as evidence in the case against the two thieves.
Detectives are also no longer searching for persons of interest, and have reportedly been in communication with the primary suspects’ lawyers as early as August 17. While innocent until proven guilty, charges are likely to be filed with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in coming weeks.
