This past weekend, Disney’s Lorcana trading card game (TCG) was on display at France’s Gala TCG convention and GAMA Game Night. You can view each new card debuted below with translations provided by The Mushu Report.
Steel
The Beast, Angry and Bitter
Destruction: When you play this character, you may banish chosen item card.
With four strength and willpower, the Steel ink-aligned Beast is a powerful threat that makes quick work of item cards.
Prince Eric – Fiery and Brave
Prince Eric is a two-cost, Steel-aligned character that comes equipped with Challenger +2, turning his one strength into three when challenging opposing characters.
Smash!
Deal 3 damage to chosen character.
A new Steel-aligned action, Smash! is a quick and effective tool for dealing with problematic characters.
Goons – Minions of Maleficent
Sapphire
Aurora – Briar Rose
Bewildering Beauty: When you play this character, chosen opposing character gets -2 Strength this turn.
Aurora is a four-cost, Sapphire-aligned character that gives an opposing character -2 strength for the turn it’s played, making for a more favorable challenge.
Jasmine – Disguised
We’ve already seen most of this version of Scar, but now we know he quests for two lore.
Amethyst
Jafar – Wicked Sorcerer has a great statline that makes it hard to be defeated in a challenge, but also can do some serious work on offense, as his challenger ability buffs him plus three strength when challenging.
Maleficent – Sorceress is a solid card draw effect that can quest and challenge to boot.
Dr. Facilier has a huge willpower stat, making it hard to take down early. The challenger +2 also allows him to pick off smaller characters in a challenge.
The iconic song to go along with the good doctor, Friends on the Otherside is a strong card drawing action song that can be cast for free by exerting a character with cost 3 or more.
Amber
A four-cost 3/4, Ariel – On Human Legs is slightly understatted for her cost and also cannot sing song cards.
Maximus – Relentless Pursuer is a strong three-cost 3/3 that also gives a chosen character -2 strength when played.
