Tuesday, April 22rd – Over two hundred of you submitted terrible, terrible cards that Wizards might print. But today? Today we choose and sort, finding the truly bad cards and choosing… The worst card of all of them. Watch in horror as we sift through the unplayables, then the unprintables, to show you a card that one day Wizards might print!

Monday, April 14th – A lot of people submitted cards that, thanks to careful tweaking, would almost be useful in certain circumstances. I couldn’t quite rule these out as crap rares because, well, it seemed like there might be some way to make a good deck out of them. So I’m now chaining one contest into another, and asking you to break the “terrible” cards that others have sent me!

Monday, April 7th – It’s been eight years since I held this first “crap rare” contest, and looking back I think it’s high time that I did it again! I think that you, my intelligent and cunning readers, can come up with a crap rare to beat all crap rares! And if you do it, I will send you not one, not two, but three crap rares of your choosing! And we have to do this, because frankly? Wizards has forgotten how to print bad cards.

Monday, March 10th – So I played Rock Band all weekend with some pals, staying up until five in the morning to live the high life by strumming a plastic ukelele. And now, bereft of sleep or good sense, I get possibly one of the most complex Sealed pools I’ve ever opened. What would you do with good cards scattered across the colors like this?

Monday, March 3rd – Drafting a new set is tough, but that’s not what I’m talking about. No, to make life interesting, my local store decided to hold the Lorwyn segment of my draft in Russian packs – not bad for the cards I know a lot, but what about those loopy rares? Plus, I learn a Very Important Lesson about a Morningtide card that I misunderestimated, and the first announcement of The Ferrett’s new (and sure to be overhyped) webcomic!

Monday, February 18th – The Vice President of Organized Play sat down with everyone and had a nice little chat. And according to Raphael Levy, thankfully, that first meeting went fairly well (though as I write this, we’re currently short on details from the Union’s side). But I think that the story’s not quite over yet, so let an old-time Magic grognard tell you what he thinks has to be done for the Union to thrive and flourish.
