Kolvori is only a rare compared to the first three Gods revealed in Kaldheim (Halvar, Alrund, and Valki) being mythic rares. It’s also notable that all the Gods so far have different types on the back side ranging from creature, equipment, planeswalker, and artifact.
That all said, let’s break down Kolvori.
The front side is a legendary creature that promotes playing with as many legendary creatures as possible. A four-mana 2/4 isn’t the most eye-catching stat line, but if you can control a battlefield with at least two more legendary creatures Kolvori grows into a 6/6 with vigilance.
1G, T: Look at the top six cards of your library. You may reveal a legendary creature card from among them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
On top of getting rewarded for having more legendary creatures on the battlefield, Kolvori has its own ability that allows you to find more legendary creatures to fight alongside her. While you have to tap her to use the ability, it doesn’t have the restriction of using it on your turn so Kolvori can play defense and find you an extra card at the end of your opponent’s turn.
The Ringhart Crest is the other side to Kolvori, giving you the flexibility of having a mana rock on the second turn of the game.
As The Ringhart Crest enters the battlefield, choose a creature type.
T: Add G. Spend this mana only to cast a creature spell of the chosen type or a legendary creature spell.
The Ringhart Crest allows you to power out legendary creatures a bit earlier or tap for mana of any creature type you choose. An easy play pattern could be playing The Ringhart Crest on the second turn and untapping the next turn to play Kolvori herself, making the drawback of having a legendary creature less impactful.
