Amy previewed the new enchantment on Twitter and then decoded files sent to her from WotC on stream, showing off ten pieces of art from the new set. Let’s break down Invasion of the Giants before looking at the extra art.
Scry 2
Start things off by scrying 2, allowing you to set up your draw step for whatever you need. If you find a Giant spell to draw, Invasion of the Giants gets better with the next chapter.
Draw a card. Then you may reveal a Giant card from your hand. When you do, Invasion of the Giants deal 2 damage to target opponent or planeswalker.
Draw a card to get your initial value. If your hand has a Giant, you get another reward by dealing two damage to a player or planeswalker. While it can’t hit creatures, pinging down planeswalkers or getting some extra burn doesn’t hurt.
The next Giant spell you cast this turn costs 2 less to cast.
The final chapter allows you to play a cheaper Giant, whether that is a one-mana Bonecrusher Giant or a much cheaper, large creature. For just two mana, Invasion of the Giants delivers quite the punch.
Next up, take a look at ten pieces of art from Kaldheim. The art appears to be of nonbasic lands and have names associated with them. Two of the cards share the same name of Starnheim.
