As we saw yesterday, huge nine-mana spells look to be a trend in Commander Legends, and just like Mnemonic Deluge, Profane Transfusion is poised to do some very powerful and silly things.
Two target players exchange life totals. You create an X/X colorless Horror artifact creature token, where X is the difference between those players’ life totals.
Profane Transfusion allows you to target any two players, meaning you can use this targeting yourself and another player to get out of a bind and put them in one, or on the weakest and strongest players to turn the game on its head. If you’re feeling particularly chaotic, cast this spell and then let each player at the table plead their case for why or why not you should target them. Fun!
Also previewed alongside Profane Transfusion, was a series new commons and uncommons, plus a few popular Commander reprints of the same rarities.
