Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Luis Scott-Vargas, here’s the latest version of Cancel with a considerable upgrade from Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths – Neutralize!
We’ve seen variants of Cancel like Sinister Sabotage and Void Shatter as of late, but adding cycling to the three-mana counterspell gives the card flexibility we haven’t seen in a long time. Of course, in a big monster set, a cheap counterspell will have it’s place, but LSV puts it another way:
Some type of Cancel almost always sees competitive play, so expect to see Neutralize in a control deck soon, as cycling might be the biggest upgrade this type of card has seen yet.
