Prepare to planeswalk through Green Hill Zone. Magic: The Gathering is joining forces with Sonic the Hedgehog for three Secret Lair drops slated for release in mid July.
Magic: The Gathering – Secret Lair x Sonic: Turbo Gear
IGN announced the first of three Sonic the Hedgehog Secret Lair drops, Magic: The Gathering – Secret Lair x Sonic: Turbo Gear.
This drop features six cards reskinned in the world of Sonic and a Myr token appearing as Egg Pawn. These cards include:
- Swiftfoot Boots as Air Shoes
- Myr Battlesphere as Egg Hammer
- The Reaver Cleaver as Knuckles’s Gloves
- Hammer of Nazahn as Piko Piko Hammer
- Lightning Graves as Power Sneakers
- Weatherlight as Tornado, Sonic’s Biplane
- Myr token as Egg Pawn
Magic: The Gathering – Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes
Variety unveiled the second drop, Magic: The Gathering – Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes which shows off Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and more with seven new and unique cards. These cards include:
- Amy Rose
- Dr. Eggman
- Knuckles the Echidna
- Miles “Tails” Prower
- Shadow the Hedgehog
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Super State
Magic: The Gathering – Secret Lair x Sonic: Chasing Adventure
Gameinformer previewed the third drop, Magic: The Gathering – Secret Lair x Sonic: Chasing Adventure. These reprints with new art offer some awesome reprints with, of course, Sol Ring in the mix. These cards include:
- Deadly Dispute
- Fabricate
- Generous Gift
- Open the Armory
- Sol Ring
- Unexpected Windfall
- Treasure token
The Sonic the Hedgehog Secret Lair drops will go on sale at noon ET/9 AM PT on July 14 on the Secret Lair website. Each of the three drops will cost $29.99 for non-foil and $39.99 for foil. In true Sonic fashion, Magic players better be ready to go fast as these drops will only be available for a short time and will most likely sell out.
