Shards don’t often shine in this limited format, but Zastoparikus’s Jund deck sliced through the elimination rounds of the Tuesday Limited Super Qualifier. Based in Golgari, Zastoparikus splashed red off two copies of Fertilid and a Migration Path to enable powerful removal like Mythos of Vadrok, Fire Prophecy, and Rumbling Rockslide. On top of the strong removal, they also had three copies of Greater Sandwurm to cycle early, then bring back to play with Unbreakable Bond.

Zastoparikus had to face Chicken_2013 in the finals, who had a strong enough Abzan deck to leave Kogla, the Titan Ape in the sideboard. Chicken_2013 drafted an all-star mutate deck in Golgari colors, but was able to splash white with three copies of Farfinder to enable Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt.
