In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has temporarily reinstated the suspension on in-store play throughout the United States and Latin America.
The decision to once again suspend in-store play came after WotC conferred with their Retail Advisory Panel, who deemed the current climate in both the United States and Latin America unsafe for staff and players alike.
We want to facilitate stability of play where we can and in whatever form makes sense for the foreseeable future.
According to WotC, while the suspension is temporary, it will be lasting at least through Zendikar Rising Prerelease (September 18). WotC also plans to release updates on a month-by-month basis, the first of which is currently scheduled for September 9.
