Today’s Weekly MTG stream kept the Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY previews rolling, offering a first look at Ultima — both the character and the spell with the same name — as well as multiple promos, and the new cards from the Starter Kit.

Gavin Verhey and Daniel Holt joined Blake Rasmussen to talk about the new cards, offering tidbits on the design goals and how each Commander Deck was built.

First up, check out the two main set cards revolving around Ultima. The God gets a legendary creature card that shows why Wastes were included in the set, while the sorcery called Ultima gives Magic players a board wipe with a twist.

The trio unveiled a handful of promo cards associated with the set, ranging from Commander Party promos, PTQ promos, the Buy-A-Box promo, and more.

Viewers also got to see all the new cards included in the Starter Kit.

The Starter Kit Sephiroth and Cloud have been known for a while, but the other new offerings include Beatrix, Rosa, Ultimecia, and Xande.

The stream also covered the Commander Decks, which were revealed yesterday. See all the new cards in our recap of Monday’s previews.
