As part of an ongoing series of weekly changes, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced the updates and changes coming this week to Magic Online.
Surprise! Vintage Cube!
In response to many users having “extra downtime”, Magic Online is bringing back the Vintage Cube through April 1. In order to accommodate the return of Vintage Cube, the upcoming Invasion Block Flashback Draft is being moved back to April 29 and the Modern Cube to April 1.
Note: this is a Phantom draft and the cards drafted will not be added to your collection.
Limited PTQ
Players can participate in a Theros Beyond Death Limited PTQ on Saturday, March 21 at 7AM PT. The event will cost 1 Red Limited PTQ Token to enter, or you can join with 40 MOCS Qualifier Points.
The winner of this PTQ qualifies for either event in Series 2 of the 2020 Players Tour this Spring.
Modern PTQ
Players can participate in a Modern PTQ on Sunday, March 22 at 9AM PT. The event will cost 1 Red PTQ Finals Token to enter, or you can join with 40 MOCS Qualifier Points.
The winner of this PTQ qualifies for either event in Series 2 of the 2020 Players Tour this Spring.
Note: Any remaining Red Limited PTQ Entry Tokens must be used by April 5, the date of the last Magic Online PTQ of this qualifying round. As a reminder, these Tokens can be used for either Limited or Constructed PTQ events.
Qualifier Points Reminder
Qualifier Points from this season will be expiring and removed from user accounts during scheduled maintenance on April 15. Additionally, “MOCS Showcase Challenges and PTQ events, QPs are usable for the MOCS Last Chance events on Monday and Tuesday, April 13–14.”
Format Challenges
Playing in Format Challenges help players qualify for Premier Play and are available each weekend “except when replaced by Showcase Challenges during scheduled Showcase Challenge dates.”
