In a presentation at IGN Live on June 8, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) officially revealed three cards from the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond crossover set, Magic: The Gathering – Assassin’s Creed.

The three cards relate to the video game Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, set in an alternate history version of Ancient Greece. First, a possible protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Kassandra, appears as Kassandra, Eagle Bearer. Three versions of the legendary creature have been revealed: regular, foil etched, and “Memory Corridor” borderless with alternate art.

Next, a new Equipment card, The Spear of Leonidas, represents a legendary artifact that is also a “Piece of Eden” within the Assassin’s Creed storyline. The Spear of Leonidas also has regular, foil etched, and borderless versions.

Finally, a reprinted card, the enchantment Conspiracy, has flavor text from Deimos, an antagonist in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It is also available in regular, foil etched, and borderless versions.

The three cards are the first previews for Magic: The Gathering – Assassin’s Creed since the set’s initial preview in February 2024 at MagicCon: Chicago.

Magic: The Gathering – Assassin’s Creed will be legal in Magic: The Gathering’s Modern format and is scheduled to release on July 5.
