Star City Games is joining forces with Imagination Mining Company to run an independent nationwide organized play tour for two of its games at future SCG CON events.
Starting at SCG CON Orlando in August, Star City Games will offer events for Bo Jackson Battle Arena and Wonders of The First. Additional events will follow at the remaining SCG CON events in 2025 (Houston, Baltimore, and Las Vegas) with more stops to be announced in 2026.
The Bo Jackson Battle Arena Pro Tour is set to be a series of Sealed and Constructed tournaments for the new trading card game focusing on Bo Jackson and the Home Team Heroes, which uses cards that feature superheroes inspired by pro athletes like Cal Ripken Jr., Magic Johnson, and Bo Jackson himself.
The Wonders of The First Stoneseeker Cup Series is a competitive circuit for fantasy-based collectible card game designed by Brian Tinsman, who has credits as a lead designer on six Magic: The Gathering sets, including Scourge, Time Spiral, and Rise of the Eldrazi.
These traveling tours based at SCG CON events will serve as the foundation of IMC’s wider OP system and will be fed by local game stores. In addition to the Bo Jackson Battle Arena Pro Tour and the Wonders of The First Stoneseeker Cup Series, Star City Games will administer the Bo Jackson Battle Arena World Championship at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago in July and the inaugural Wonders of The First World Championship at SCG CON Las Vegas in November.
