Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Adam “yoman5” Hernandez, here’s Selesnya’s newest planeswalker from Theros Beyond Death – Calix, Destiny’s Hand!
This four-cost planeswalker appears quite powerful when built around, starts with four loyalty, and utilizes three abilities:
+1: Look at the top four cards of your library. You may reveal an enchantment card from among them and put that card into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
In the right deck, the ability to dig for an enchantment could be quite strong. It’s important to note that the three remaining cards go on the bottom of the library, not the graveyard.
-3: Exile target creature or enchantment you don’t control until target enchantment you control leaves the battlefield.
Having a built-in Oblivion Ring-esque removal ability helps protect Calix the turn he enters the battlefield.
-7: Return all enchantment cards from your graveyard to the battlefield.
This is a very strong ultimate ability that can potentially end the game depending on what enchantments are in the graveyard.
