Choose any number of target creatures, planeswalkers and/or players of your choice. For each of them, exile the top card of your library, then Soulfire Eruption inflicts damage to the permanent or to the player equal to the converted mana cost of that card. You can play the exiled cards until the end of your next turn.
Adding to the cycle of big, nine-mana spells, Soulfire Eruption serves two different purposes — dealing damage and generating card advantage. Soulfre Eruption works on an A to A, B to B basis, meaning for each targeted permanent or player, you’ll exile a card from the top of your library and that card will deal damage to that permanent.
In addition to shooting a ton of permanents and players for random amounts of damage, you’ll be able to cast any of those cards from exile until the end of your next turn. Talk about value!
