As we gear up for another preview season, what looks like a new, rare land from the upcoming set Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms has been leaked.
Shared to the MagicTCG subreddit by user sabett, the leak reportedly originated on the augmented reality pin site, Pinfinity, and appears to give us a first look at what could be a new card frame, modeled after classic Dungeons & Dragons modules.
Most comparable to creature-lands such as Mutavault or Crawling Barrens, Den of the Bugbear is unique in that it’s a creature-land that taps for colored mana that may enter the battlefield untapped. Once you’ve paid the four mana to activate the Den’s ability, it becomes a Legion Warboss-esque creature that generates an attacking 1/1 Goblin when it attacks, making it a very powerful mana-sink for aggressive red decks and a possible win condition for control decks.
So what do you think of Den of the Bugbear? Is it real or just a cool fake? Let us know what you think in the comments!
Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is scheduled for release on July 23. View our official preview gallery.
