Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Bleeding Cool, check out four new cards coming to Historic via Historic Anthology 5 — Ojutai’s Command, Trash for Treasure, Ancient Grudge, and Ray of Revelation!
While Trash for Treasure looks to be a combo card for heavy artifact decks, Ojutai’s Command is a powerful card coming to Azorius-based decks. The four-mana command saw moderate play during its time in Standard and seems like a good one or two-of in Azorius or Jeskai Control. Though a creature like Snapcaster Mage or Jace, Vryn’s Prodigy isn’t in the format to bring back with its “Return target creature card with converted mana cost 2 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.” mode, the other three modes are solid options for the current Historic format.
Ancient Grudge and Ray of Revelation, however, are both solid role players and great tools to have access to in any format. Safety valves to keep artifact and enchantment decks in check are always needed and these cards have proven their worth over the years in other formats.
Historic Anthology 5 will be released on May 27 and include 25 cards.
