Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Destructoid, take a look at four more cards coming in Historic Anthology 5 — Stifle, Intangible Virtue, Vault Skirge, and Dromoka’s Command!
Dromoka’s Command was an all-star in its time in Standard and is joining Ojutai’s Command from the earlier set of previews. Three of the modes play well with your creatures while granting access to enchantment removal at little cost.
Despite not having fetchlands to tag in Historic other than Fabled Passage, Stifle has plenty of targets like Thassa’s Oracle and Kroxa, Titan of Death’s Hunger. Probably best to start cracking those Fabled Passages when your opponent doesn’t have blue mana.
Vault Skirge provides another cheap creature to the artifact-based beatdown decks, playing well with Tempered Steel from a previous Historic Anthology. It’s also the second card with Phyrexian Mana to hit MTG Arena (Tezzeret’s Gambit being the first).
A classic token anthem, Intangible Virtue could easily create a new archetype in Historic. Players are still looking for Lingering Souls in Historic, but Timely Reinforcements and plenty of other token makers are already in the format.
Historic Anthology 5 will be released on May 27 and include 25 cards.
