MTG Artist Thomas Gianni Has Passed Away

Long-Time MTG Artist Thomas Gianni has passed away.

Long-time Magic: The Gathering artist and fantasy novel illustrator, Thomas Gianni, has passed away.

According to close friend and fellow Chicago native, Jim Nelson, Gianni had been battling on-going health issues for awhile, and his passing is unrelated to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Gianni began working for Magic: The Gathering in 1996 and over the course of his career, illustrated 28 unique cards, including Unfavorable Destiny, Seht’s Tiger, Waterspout Djinn, and many more.
