Juza brought his own take on Yorion Bant Control to battle, equipped with a playset of Brazen Borrower that did some heavy lifting in two of his three matches. Juza had to face Ally Warfield in the quarterfinals and Emma Handy in the finals, both playing Four-Color Winota. Petty Theft came up huge in dealing with Winota, Joiner of Forces before combat and other problematic creatures to buy Juza time to set up the top end of his deck.

Juza eliminated Warfield 2-0 to set up a semifinals match against Corey Baumeister on Yorion Jeskai Lukka. Juza topped Baumeister in three games to set up the best-of-five finals against Handy, who cut through her side of the bracket with wins over Eli Kassis and Piotr Glogowski. Juza’s mix of early interaction and counterspells were enough to keep Handy from executing her gameplan and wrap up the championship 3-1 for the member of the Magic Hall of Fame. Juza earned $5,000 for first and Handy collected $2,000 for her runner-up finish.
