Gavin Verhey showed off Magic oddities from the past in today’s episode of Good Morning Magic.

Verhey begins by displaying his leather champion portfolio from the Junior Super Series (also known as Scholarship Series) with a paper folder inside.

He then busts out a Road to the 1998 World Championships VHS tape, that followed the US Nationals tournament.

Up next, Verhey highlighted his winning Mirrodin Pure vs New Phyrexia Magic Online Duel decks, including a deck box with the expansion symbol and playtest cards of the decks given to him when he started at Wizards of the Coast.

Verhey then unfurls his first playamt, stacked with PTQ Top 8 pins.

To wrap things up, Verhey unveils one of the first oversized cards in Magic history he collected before oversized cards were a common thing on prize walls. Verhey got his Mirari at US Nationals as believes there are fewer than five in existence.
