Wizards of the Coast and Cracked have released a first look at Magic’s newest”Un-set” – Unsanctioned.
Unsanctioned is a box set of five, 30-card decks featuring some of the “silliest, most outlandish cards in Magic history…” and includes reprints from the past “Un-sets” Unglued, Unhinged and Unstable.
Getting started with Unsanctioned is easy. Players simply pick any two decks and mix them together. The combined 60-card decks then allow participants to “do things far outside the scope of an ordinary game of Magic.”
Head Designer of Magic, Mark Rosewater, explained that the “Un-sets” are a great way to embrace the more casual and fun side of Magic, rather than the competitive side, which often receives the most attention.
In the tradition of past “Un-sets”, Unsanctioned will also include new, extended-art basic lands.
Unsanctioned is currently scheduled for release on February 29, 2020.
