Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC), Deborah Ann Woll, and Joe Manganiello, check out two cards from Adventures in the Forgotten Realms — Orb of Dragonkind and Werewolf Pack Leader!

Deborah Ann Woll, best known for her roles in True Blood and Daredevil, previewed Orb of Dragonkind.

This red artifact not only helps you cast Dragons ahead of schedule, but find you another one when you have plenty of mana.

1, T: Add two mana in any combination of colors. Spend this mana only to cast Dragon spells or activate abilities of Dragons.

R, T, Sacrifice Orb of Dragonkind: Look at the top seven cards of your library. You may reveal a Dragon card from among them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.

At two mana to play and one mana to activate, it isn’t the best ramp tool but it can come in handy when activating abilities of Dragons. Its second ability allowing you to dig seven cards deep for a Dragon, however, will be a great tool for Dragon decks in any format.

Joe Manganiello, also known for his role in True Blood along with Spider-Man, previewed Werewolf Pack Leader.

Green gets a 3/3 for two with upside that doesn’t require two colors of mana!

Pack tactics — Whenever Werewolf Pack Leader attacks, if you attacked with creatures with total power 6 of greater this combat, draw a card.

3G: Until end of turn, Werewolf Pack Leader has base power and toughness 5/3, gains trample, and isn’t a Human.

A non-legendary two-mana 3/3 is already powerful, but it can also generate card advantage and get a power boost along with trample for four mana. Its pack tactics flavor word ability combos with one other copy to let you draw a card or you can activate it when attacking with any other creature with power to get a card.

What do you think of Orb of Dragonkind and Werewolf Pack Leader? Do they have the stuff make it in Standard?
