Nico Bohny won Season 2 of the 2021 Magic Online Champions Showcase with Orzhov Hammer (Lurrus) on Saturday.

Bohny secured his spot in the finals by winning the Modern portion of the eight-person tournament, defeating Jack Potter on Amulet Titan to go 3-0 in the format. Bohny faced Marcela Almeida in the finals, who won the Vintage Cube section of the event, also defeating Potter in the third round to claim the lone 3-0 record in Cube Draft.

Bohny had already beat Almeida in the first round of Modern earlier in the day, winning 2-0 over her build of Temur Crashcade. Almeida pushed him to a third and final game for all the marbles, but Bohny flooded the battlefield and had plenty of Equipment along with it, leaving Almeida to dig for a Force of Vigor to have a chance. The free spell was nowhere to be found and Bohny took the finals 2-1 to win $20,000 and an invite to the MTG Arena set championship.
