Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Good Luck High Five, check out the blue Adversary from Innistrad: Midnight Hunt — Spectral Adversary!
Flash
Flying
When Spectral Adversary enters the battlefield, you may pay 1U any number of times. When you pay this cost one or more times, put that many +1/+1 counters on Spectral Adversary, then up to that many other target artifacts, creatures, and/or enchantments phase out.
Spectral Adversary is just about everything a player could want in a blue creature. A two-mana 2/1 with flash and flying, Spectral Adversary is a strong, on-curve aggressive creature that fits great into Spirit tribal. In the mid- to late-game, you can cast Adversary and pay 1U to not only grow itself, but also phase out a few artifacts, creatures, and/or enchantments. Plus, thanks to flash, you can use this ability and swoop in and save your most valuable nonland permanents from being destroyed.
So what do you think of Spectral Adversary? Will this card see play in multiple formats? Let us know what you think in the comments.
