Bernie Sanders To Back TCG Player Warehouse Union

Senator Bernie Sanders has announced his support for the TCG Player warehouse workers union.

Vermont Senator, Bernie Sanders, has announced his support for SEIU Local 200United and the TCG Player warehouse works union.

Warehouse workers at TCG Player announced their intention to unionize back in March, and plan to continue pushing for better working conditions and insurance options.

According to TCG Player employee and union organizer, Richard Vallejo, many of the warehouse jobs are quite physically demanding and inevitably take a toll on the body over time. Vallejo states that the motivation to unionize stemmed from changes to their healthcare plan, which would increase health insurance costs from “$60 to more than $130 a paycheck.”

While the endorsement from Senator Sanders adds a great amount of exposure to the movement, it is still currently unclear if or when the union will be approved to move forward.
