Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) take a look at the return of a fan-favorite planeswalker in Innistrad: Midnight Hunt — Terferi, Who Slows the Sunset!
[+1] : Choose up to one target artifact, up to one target creature, and up to one target land. Untap the chosen permanents you control. Tap the chosen permanents you don’t control. You gain 2 life.
Azorius’ premier planeswalker returns, but at four mana this time. Starting at four loyalty, Teferi’s [+1] ability allows you to target an artifact, creature, and land and either tap them down (if they belong to your opponent) or untap them (if belong to you). The flexibility in this ability allows for some really strong turns, especially for control decks where it’s likely to find a home.
[-2] : Look at the top three cards of your library. Put one of them into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.
Being able to dig three cards deep and then choose the best one for your situation is traditionally a very strong ability for control decks, as we’ve seen in the past with cards like Jace, Architect of Thought. Unlike Jace however, you’re totally in control of the card selected, making this ability even more appealing.
[-7] : You get an emblem with “Untap all permanents you control during each opponent’s untap step” and “You draw a card during each opponent’s draw step.”
Like most planeswalker ultimate abilities, Teferi’s [-7] essentially wins you the game. If you’re able to activate this, you’re likely already in control of the game, so this just tips the scale so far in your favor that your opponent should probably just concede. It’s also worth noting that this ability works for multiple opponents, so in a game of Commander, you’ll be able to enjoy extra untap and draw steps for each player in the game.
