2027 Magic Sets
Now, let’s dive into the three new in-universe Magic sets scheduled for 2027.
Nauctis: The Sunken Realm — February 5, 2027

Magic players will venture deep into a completely underwater world in February 5, 2027. Nauctis: The Sunken Realm isn’t just a plane of Merfolk, all colors of Magic will be featured in this new set designed around everything taking place under water.

Oh, and did you catch the part of how an apocalyptic danger lurks at the bottom of the ocean? Yeah, that might be a concern for all the underwater civilizations.

Kamigawa: Titanbreach — June 4, 2027

What happens when the worlds of Kamigawa and Ikoria clash? Find out on June 4, 2027 with the release of Kamigawa: Titanbreach! That’s right, as a major repercussion of the Omenpaths opening up, the giant monsters of Ikoria are falling from the sky into the plane of Kamigawa.

The set will feature a classic mechs vs. monsters conflict, scaling up the action to a degree never seen before in Magic. How will the people of Kamigawa survive the existential threat of Ikoria?

Zhalfir — October 1, 2027

A highly anticipated return to the plane of Zhalfir finally happens on October 1, 2027. The plane revolves around the duality of a world powered by the magic of five suns leading to forever daylight, but also connected to the spirit realm full of darkness and monsters, but also ancestors and ties to history.

Zhalfir is Magic’s first real exploration of Afrofantasy. Of course, Teferi Akosa will return as a key character, allowing new players to meet the master of time.

Magic: The Gathering Limited Championship

After months of Limited Championship Qualifiers and the excitement of an all-Limited Pro Magic event, The Magic: The Gathering Limited Championship has a concrete time and place. The first Limited Championship will take place on June 18-20 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
