The latest Heroes of the Realm promos, handed out in very limited quantities to Wizards of the Coast (WotC) staff, have been revealed — Heroes of Kamigawa, Elusen, the Giving, and !

First shared to X by Carmen Klomparens, Heroes of Kamigawa is the ultimate love letter to WotC staff that worked on Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, one of Magic’s most successful sets in recent years. The legendary planeswalker can be used as your commander and features Kaito and The Wanderer, illustrated by Magali Villenueve.
The second card, Elusen, the Giving, was posted to X by Jontelle Levson-Smith. Illustrated by Livia Prima, the multicolored Angel Advisor was awarded to those who went out of their way to support philanthropic work with WotC affiliated charities like Black Girls Code, The Trevor Project, Extra Life, and many more. Elusen passes from player to player during each postcombat main phase, and whenever another player donates a permanent, the donating player draws a card, gains 1 life, and creates three Treasure tokens.
The third Heroes of the Realm card, Svega, the Unconventional, was shared to X by Alexander Smith and is illustrated by Chris Rallis. Based on Smith’s post, it seems Svega is presented to WotC staff who helped organize MTG events throughout the year.
The fourth Heroes of the Realm card, Wizard from Beyond was shared to X by Jacob Mooney. The five-color legendary enchantment was given to member of the Dungeons & Dragons Beyond Team. In true D&D fashion, it allows you to create your own character, which then becomes your commander. Additionally, it adds each party type to your commander as well, and if you have a full party, the abilities of your creatures trigger an additional time.
Just like the Heroes of the Realm cards in the past, 2022-2023’s cards are not legal in any format except for Commander and can only be used if the player’s name is featured on the card.
