SCG CON Dallas is in the books! Check out all the winners over the weekend and the decklists from the Modern $30K, Pioneer and Modern $5Ks, as well as the Flesh and Blood Battle Hardened and Professional Tournament Invitational winner.

Modern $30K

Tommy Harding came out on top of the two-day, 325-person Modern $30K with Five-Color Indomitable Creativity.

Harding defeated Nathaniel Monsees on Four-Color Control (Yorion) in the finals, taking home the trophy and $5,000. Both finalists and the third and fourth-place finishers (Stewart Haas and Reed Alexander) earned invites to the Regional Championship at DreamHack.

Modern $5K

Longtime MTG veteran Dave Shiels won the Modern $5K on Sunday with Five-Color Indomitable Creativity.

Shiels’ win meant both Modern trophies went to the Five-Color combo deck on the weekend, while his brother Brian Shiels also made the Top 12 of the Modern $30K with the same deck. Dave Shiels beat Aaron Acosta on a four-color build of Indomitable Creativity in the finals, good for $1,500 an invite to the Regional Championship at DreamHack.

Pioneer $5K

Nick Curnutt and Five-Color Enigmatic Fires (Yorion) claimed the top spot in the Pioneer $5K on Sunday.

The Top 4 decided on a prize split, but Curnutt took home the trophy — giving all three MTG events on the weekend to five-color decks. Joining Curnutt in the Top 4 were: Michael Carter on Mono-Red Aggro, Erika Spiker on Four-Color Humans, and William Barlen on Izzet Indomitable Creativity.

Battle Hardened

Peter Buddensiek won the Classic Constructed Battle Hardened on Saturday with Fai, Rising Rebellion.

Buddensiek defeated Donald Torres on Briar, Warden of Thorns in the finals to take the gold cold foil prize card. Both finalists earned PTIs and $500.

Professional Tournament Invitational

Brendan Patrick won the Blitz Professional Tournament Invitational on Sunday with Iyslander.

Patrick, one half of the Arsenal Pass podcast, went home with the gold cold foil prize card and the PTI.

SCG CON returns next month in Philadelphia on November 11-13, featuring a Pioneer $30K, The Brothers’ War release events, a Modern $5K, and a Pioneer $5K to go along with Flesh and Blood events on each day.
