This past weekend, Magic: The Gathering players descended upon the Steel City for Eternal Weekend 2024 – a three-day event celebrating Magic’s oldest and most powerful formats.
2024 North American Vintage Championship
The first of two main events, the 2024 North American Vintage Championship, kicked things off with nine rounds of swiss on Friday and featured over 400 players.
With Saturday reserved for Legacy, the Vintage Top 8 action picked back up on Sunday morning, with a diverse metagame that featured seven unique decks:

After battling through the elimination rounds, the finals came down to a control mirror between Max Gilmore playing Esper Control (Lurrus) and Chase Hoppe playing Dimir Control (Lurrus).

2024 North American Legacy Championship
With the elimination rounds for the Vintage Championship being held Sunday, its participants were able to also play in Saturday’s main event – the North American Legacy Championship. The event featured 11 rounds of swiss and a staggering 1155 players.
Sunday afternoon’s Legacy Championship Top 8 featured six unique decks:
