MTG Will No Longer Be Printed In These 3 Languages

WotC will stop publishing Magic: The Gathering in three languages starting with Dominaria United

Wizards of the Coast (WotC) announced today that starting with Dominaria United, tabletop Magic: The Gathering will no longer be published in Russian, Korean, or Chinese (Traditional).

The announcement states that WotC will focus its major releases in eight core languages. Those languages are:

  • English
  • Japanese
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • French
  • Italian
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Portuguese

While tabletop Magic products will no longer be published in in Russian, Korean, and Chinese (Traditional), WotC states it will continue to support Wizards Play Network stores by providing WPN events and promos, but the product and promos will be in English. MTG Arena will still be supported in Korean and Russian.

This announcement comes after WotC stopped making Draft Boosters in Korean and Chinese (Traditional) with Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty.
