Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has released its weekly update article for MTG Arena, highlighting the upcoming Explorer and Historic Anthologies, new events, and more.
The Two (Command) Towers Brawl Event Live Through Friday
A special Alchemy-legal Brawl event is running on MTG Arena until Friday. Build a 60-card Brawl deck, but only legendary creatures from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth can be your Commander. Enter for 2,500 gold or 500 gems and win Core Set 2021 showcase basic lands for each match victory up to five. Change decks and play as much as you want until the event ends.
New Anthologies Release Next Week
Historic Anthology 7 and Explorer Anthology 3 hit MTG Arena on July 18. Each expansion includes 25 cards new to MTG Arena. Each Anthology costs 25,000 gold or 4,000 gems. Individual cards can be crafted with wild cards. See the previews for the Historic and Explorer Anthologies before the sets go live on the client.
Qualifier Play-In And Qualifier Weekend Starts Friday
The Best-Of-Three Qualifier Play-In is set for Friday and features The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Sealed. Reach max win on Friday to qualify for the Qualifier Weekend two-day event that starts on Saturday. Both days will be The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Sealed. Reach max wins on Day 2 to qualify for Arena Championship 4 and the Pro Tour in February 2024.
