Possible Leaks Reveal Three Compleated Planeswalkers From Phyrexia: All Will Be One

Reddit post shows what appears to be three of the five compleated planeswalkers

An image of three of the alleged compleated planeswalkers from Phyrexia: All Will Be One were posted to Reddit last night, including a couple of fan-favorite characters.

Weekly MTG previewed that the set will have 10 planeswalkers and five of them will be compleated, leading to plenty of speculation on which planeswalkers would make it through unscathed. The 10 planeswalkers are:

  • Jace
  • Kaito
  • Kaya
  • Koth
  • Lukka
  • Nahiri
  • Nissa
  • Tyvar
  • Vraska
  • The Wandering Emperor

Of those 10, Weekly MTG confirmed that Koth was not compleated and showed his card.

That left five out of nine planeswalkers to fall to the Phyrexians. Reddit user LooyeeChiwa posted an image showing three compleated planeswalker cards.

The image appears to show compleated versions of Jace, Vraska, and Nissa. The cards feature the oil slick raised foil variants. The three are:

  • Jace, the Perfected Mind
  • Vraska, Betrayal’s Sting
  • Nissa, Ascended Animist

The planeswalkers all have the compleated ability that was previously used on Tamiyo, Compleated Sage and Ajani, Sleeper Agent, allowing the player to cast them for a cheaper mana cost if they spend life on the Phyrexian mana in the casting cost. Not all of the text for the loyalty abilities on the cards or the full mana costs can be seen, but there is enough to get an idea of what each can do.

Nissa has the most information available and can be played for five or six mana. The +1 ability creates an X/X Phyrexian Horror creature token, where X is Nissa’s loyalty. The -1 destroys an artifact or enchantment and the third ability gives your creatures +1+1 for each Forest you control and trample until end of turn.

Notably, the art on these versions of the cards are unique to the oil slick raised foil variants and do not use the “what if” manga art that appears on the borderless planeswalkers. You can see the “what if” treatment for Koth below, along with the “what if” art for the three compleated planeswalkers.

Reddit users pointed out that the collector numbers for Vraska and Nissa go from 361 to 362, indicating no red planeswalkers get compleated, which matches with the officially previewed Koth. The other red planeswalkers from the 10 in the set are usually multicolor, so they would follow the mono-colored cards in collector number.
